Miraldrine Sadou gained essential computer skills and job readiness training at Syracuse ATTAIN Lab.

Miraldrine Sadou was referred to the ATTAIN Lab through her job at SUNY Upstate Medical. She was looking to move into a position that was easier on her body and realized she needed computer skills. Although she was very nervous due to her accent and not being welcomed at school in the past, she courageously came to the ATTAIN Lab.

“ATTAIN Lab was a warm, welcoming place that made me feel like family. They taught me computer skills, typing, and job readiness training,” said Sadou.

She completed ATTAIN Digital Literacy courses, typing, and attended computer training tutoring sessions. ATTAIN was able to provide her with digital literacy certificates, training, an updated resume, and job application assistance, which landed her a new job as a Security Officer at Allied Health.

“Cody and Matt were there during difficult times to encourage me to continue training. They made me feel welcome even though it was scary to go back to school. Because of ATTAIN, I was able to gain new employment that has made my life and future brighter.”

Overcoming her past struggles and nervousness, Miraldrine Sadou found a supportive family at the ATTAIN Lab. Here, she gained essential computer skills and job readiness training, leading to a new career as a Security Officer at Allied Health.
